Meet Caitlin, our School Relationship & Recruiting Manager
“As a SLP myself, I understand how important it is to feel supported in your position. Related service providers play such a vital role in helping students make progress and succeed in their education. AnthroMed has a mission to make a positive impact not only within the schools but with our employees. The compassion and community here at AnthroMed is something I’m proud to be a part of.”
Joining AnthroMed Education in 2023, Caitlin O'Connor, M.S., CCC-SLP is a trained and licensed Illinois SLP, who has started to help AnthroMed Education our teams in Illinois and the east coast. Caitlin's unique knowledge of being a practicing school-based SLP gives her a unique understanding of practicing in school settings as well as the day-to-day lives of Speech-Language Pathologists. At AnthroMed, Caitlin will be building new relationships with schools throughout Illinois and assisting us with the hiring of new Clinicians each school year. She'll also be attending various conferences such as the 2023 Annual Illinois Speech-Hearing Language conference in Rosemont, IL. In addition, Caitlin will also be working to ensure Clinical Fellowship SLPs are matches with a strong Clinical Fellow Mentor and ensuring our Clinical Fellows have the appropriate ASHA mentorship each school year and receive their CCC's on time and on schedule. She has quickly made a positive impact on our team and because she is no stranger to schools and special education, understands how to appropriately match a new SLP or Social Worker with the appropriate school placement.
Caitlin is a graduate of the undergraduate Speech-Language Hearing program at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, as well as holds her M.S. in Communication Disorders from the University of Wisconsin Madison. She grew up and resides in Illinois and can be found on weekend trying new restaurants in the west loop of Chicago with her fiancé, and being out and about in the neighborhood with her two favorite puppies, Sachi and Josie. Please reach out to Caitlin if your school is in need of additional special services support or you're an SLP considering new opportunities in Illinois.
