This is a unique opportunity for an SLP who enjoys early-elementary work, Gen Ed collaboration, and helping build an equitable, proactive system of supports for young learners.
    About the Role
    This position was specifically created to address underidentification of non-white students and Spanish-speaking students within General Education settings. While there are a few IEP students, the core focus of this role is building a Gen Ed caseload, supporting early identification, and partnering closely with the MTSS coordinator to provide interventions.

    You do not need to speak Spanish to be successful in this role. The district has strong interpreter support, multiple Spanish-speaking SLPs on staff, and all services are delivered in English.
    What You’ll Do
    • Serve K–3 students across three elementary buildings
    • Provide early-intervention support and Gen Ed speech services within an MTSS framework
    • Collaborate closely with the full-time MTSS Coordinator to develop small groups and universal/targeted supports
    • Partner with families, teachers, bilingual staff, and school teams to promote culturally responsive practice
    • Manage a small number of IEP students (minimal evaluations expected)
    • Use shared office spaces, including a Family Center office where other SLPs work and collaborate

    You will work alongside another full-time SLP who is bilingual and supports the Spanish immersion strand. These students are bused into the building, meaning no travel, and their needs tend to be milder.

    While the caseload is around 62 students, the workload is intentionally balanced due to several strong supports in place:
    • A dedicated evaluation team handles all initial evaluations, so this SLP will not conduct them
    • A Due Process Clerk assists with clerical and scheduling tasks for IEPs
    • A strong SLP leadership structure, with both an SLP Lead and SLP Director
    • A broader district team of 32 SLPs who collaborate, problem-solve, and share resources

    • Provide direct speech-language therapy across a diverse elementary caseload
