Founded in 2019 by Ian Flynn, AnthroMed Education began with a single employee (a summer school SLP) and a unique vision: to support the vital work of clinicians in Speech-Language Pathology, School Social Work and Mental Health, and eventually Occupational Therapy. Since its inception, the company has grown rapidly, employing hundreds of dedicated clinicians by 2025.
At its core, AnthroMed Education is driven by a deep passion for the impactful work our clinicians do with students and schools, providing essential services that help students thrive academically and personally. Our mission is simple: to ensure that every child has access to the support they need to succeed in their educational journey.
Ian Flynn’s leadership has been integral in shaping AnthroMed’s success and growth. As a leader in the therapy services industry, Ian has consistently innovated ways to enrich the working experience of our team of Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), Social Workers, and Occupational Therapists (OTs). By constantly seeking new ways to enhance their professional development, Ian has ensured that our clinicians not only excel in their roles but are also supported with resources, training, and mentorship to grow in their careers. His focus on fostering an environment of continuous learning has helped our team expand their skill sets, empowering them to achieve better outcomes for students.
Under Ian’s guidance, AnthroMed has been recognized as one of the fastest-growing companies in America, earning a spot on Inc. Magazine’s prestigious list. His leadership is marked by a commitment to creating an enriching, supportive culture where clinicians can thrive while making a real difference in the lives of students. Ian’s innovation extends beyond operational growth—he is dedicated to steering the company toward new ways of supporting our team’s success, enhancing outcomes for student’s, and ultimately helping as many children as possible.
Ian’s commitment to the field goes beyond AnthroMed. He serves on the Community Advisory Board for DePaul University’s Speech-Language Pathology Program, where he advocates for the success of DePaul’s new Master’s of Speech-Language Pathology program as well as their free Speech-Language Pathology clinic in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago, further solidifying his position for finding unique and new ways to help others in the world of education.
As both the sole Founder and CEO of AnthroMed Education, Ian continues to lead AnthroMed’s mission to deliver exceptional service to schools, foster professional growth for clinicians, and make a lasting, positive impact on the communities and schools we serve.
“I’m extremely excited to continue leading AnthroMed Education in 2025 and beyond. Our mission continues to be the driving force for how we make decisions at AnthroMed. Our focus on empowering our team of SLPs, Social Workers, and OTs while supporting every student’s right to learn embodies everything we stand for in our efforts to positively impact student’s in every school we serve.”
