- Site Assignment: Learning Center (Early Childhood Program for Students with Autism)
- Grade Levels: Early Childhood (ages 3–5)
- Caseload: 27 total students across 4 classrooms. These students are in a full-day, intensive program with higher needs, including Autism and delayed communication.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday; student day is 8:40 AM–2:40 PM
- Service Minutes: Each student on an IEP receives 60 minutes of speech-language services per week.
- Service Delivery Model: Push-in model across four classrooms with four teachers. SLP will:
- Participate in two 20-minute rotation sessions weekly
- Lead a fun, theme-based morning group once weekly (group session)
- Push into sensory/art classrooms to facilitate language and engagement
- Integrate language and pragmatics during lunch (focus on food exposure and tolerance)
- Classroom Structure: Same students all day with AM focused on instructional lessons (table work, rotations) and PM on sensory/art. SLP supports language through rotations and collaborates with paras for implementation.
- Goals of Therapy: Focus on multimodal communication, turn-taking, initiating communication, and foundational communication skills
- Communication Systems: All students use some form of AAC, including TouchChat, core boards, and PEC systems (low- and high-tech options)
- Collaboration:
- Strong collaboration with OTs and classroom teachers (2 returning, 1 new)
- Support from an AAC specialist within the school
Key Responsibilities:- Provide speech and language services tailored to individual student needs within an early childhood Autism-focused program.

- SLP will conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions to address communication and language disorders.
- SLP will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication skills in both classroom and individual settings.
- SLP will maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and communication with stakeholders.
- SLP will have their own office space.
- SLP will utilize Embrace for IEPs.
