Position Overview

Caseload & Setting Details

Your Impact (Responsibilities)
As a School Social Worker, you will:
• Provide direct student support within the alternative program setting
• Conduct screenings and assess social-emotional needs
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and related services teams
• Support IEP-related collaboration when applicable
• Connect families with community and county-based services
• Assist transition-age students with independence planning
• Maintain documentation aligned with school-based standards
What You’ll Bring (Qualifications)
• Active Minnesota Board of Social Work (MN BOSW) license or eligibility
• Active Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB) license or eligibility
• Experience in school-based settings preferred
• Strong collaboration skills and comfort working across grade levels

What You’ll Do:
Provide speech-language therapy to students in school settings
Conduct assessments and contribute to IEP development
Deliver individual and group therapy services

Build experience across AAC, articulation, language, fluency, and social communication
Receive ongoing feedback and clinical guidance throughout your CFY

• Provide social-emotional and behavioral support to K–5 students
