    AnthroMed is seeking a passionate Assistive Technology (AT) Specialist who wants to support students with AAC and life skills. The ideal candidate will have a background in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP), Occupational Therapy (OT), or Physical Therapy (PT). This position requires experience supporting the identification and implementation of AAC technology.

    About the role:
    • Support all aspects of Assistive Technology implementation for students and staff to ensure students have the tools they need to access the curriculum (i.e. technical support, evaluations, coaching staff, service provision).
    • Determine what Assistive Technology is required for each student to successfully access the curriculum and participate in the community.
    • Actively participate in the development of IEP goals and attend meetings to provide expertise on Assistive Technology. 
    • Respond to Assistive Technology Evaluation requests from the educational team in a timely and collaborative manner. 
    • Help manage materials and create activities for students in the classroom. 
    • Assist in identifying appropriate multimodal communication supports and ensure adequate follow-up to support usage across contexts. 
    • Participate in professional development activities and collaborate with all key stakeholders involved in the allocation and implementation of Assistive Technology. 
    • Completes relevant paperwork within required timelines per federal and state law, district policy, and procedures.

    Position Overview
    AnthroMed Education is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our elementary school team in Waltham, MA. This position, scheduled for two days per week from March through June 13th, 2025, is designed to provide additional support for the remainder of the school year. The school currently houses an Autism program and has four SLPs on staff. The selected candidate will work onsite and collaborate with the existing team to ensure that all students receive comprehensive speech and language services.
     
    Key Responsibilities
    • Direct Service: 
      • Provide speech and language therapy to elementary students on a part-time basis.
      • Implement individualized therapy plans and deliver effective interventions in accordance with DESE and mass.gov guidelines.
    • Collaboration: 
      • Work closely with the existing team of four SLPs supporting the Autism program.
      • Participate in team meetings and collaborative planning sessions to coordinate services across the school.
    • Documentation & Reporting: 
      • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and therapy sessions.
      • Ensure timely communication with teachers, parents, and other professionals as required.
    • Adaptability: 
      • Support various student needs and adjust therapy approaches to fit individual learning styles and communication goals.

    Qualifications
